Works of art made of embroideries, which did not find a place on Bulgarian costumes, are on display in Gallery Sedem in Sliven. The exhibition includes 31 collages of landscapes by artist Dora Kurshumova.

The artist told BTA: "This is a kind of recycling of embroideries that have remained unnoticed by the costume designer." The embroideries were provided by Stefka Haralampieva's studio where traditional Bulgarian costumes are made. Kurshumova shared that for a year she has been collecting the material for her art – the embroideries that otherwise would have been discarded by the studio. "I think that this way the embroideries find a new life, by entering the picture, by creating a good mood," she said.
