site.bta1,024 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Bulgaria

April 22 (BTA) - The confirmed COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria
 are 1,024, according to the latest statistics of the national
coronavirus task force made public by the Health Ministry
Wednesday afternoon. There were nine enw cases during the day.

A total of 262 persons who have tested positive for the novel
coronavirus, are in hosipital, including 37 in intensive care.

There are 83 medics with COVID-19.

The coronavirus fatalities in this country total 49, including
two new deaths.

The task force told its regular morning news briefing that a
total of 27,000 PCR tests have been performed so far in
Bulgaria. The aim is to perform 7,000 such tests per week which
will cover one in every 1,000 people. RY/LN/
