site.btaYellow Code Warning for Strong Winds Issued in 18 Regions on Tuesday

A yellow code for strong winds has been issued for April 2 for 18 regions, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) said.

The warning includes the areas of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Razgrad, Gabrovo, Silistra, Targovishte, Dobrich, Shumen, Burgas, Varna, Yambol, Haskovo, Kardzhali.

Sofia Municipality also warned citizens to exercise caution, to close the windows well and to secure the balconies of their homes from loose objects. Contractors were urged to check construction cranes, scaffolding and fences on their sites, commercial companies - to secure advertising and information elements from their sites.

 Directorate of Emergency Assistance and Prevention at Sofia Municipality are in the field and are conducting site visits, and will respond to signals if necessary.
