Attending the exhibition "75 years of NATO and 20 years of Bulgaria in NATO" at the national press club of the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) in Sofia on Friday, lawyer Prof. Ognyan Gerdzhikov, a former Parliament chairperson (2001-2005), congratulated BTA Director General Kiril Valchev for the initiative as Bulgaria's entry in NATO is one of the significant events in this country’s history over the past 100 years, he underscored. On March 18, 2004, Gerdzhikov handed over to Bulgarian President Georgi Parvanov (2002-2012) the ratification of the North Atlantic Treaty.
