BSP for Bulgaria told journalists in Parliament that the party is favour of 2-in-1 elections. Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) leader Korneliya Ninova said there is more than one reason for that, firstly, that is would be cost-effective, and secondly - because the voter turnout would be higher, which is important for the legitimacy of the institution.
"We are holding talks with dozens of left-wing movements and parties. Yesterday we had an event in Plovdiv, we are doing it all over the country, and maybe very soon we will also hold a big national one," Ninova said in response to a question.
When asked how many MPs they expect in new elections, she said that they do not make such calculations.
Ninova also commented President Rumen Radev's choice who to hand the third government-forming mandate to would be difficult.
BSP has said that if the President picks them for the third mandate, they would return it unfulfilled.
