1924: First Social Insurance Act is gazetted.
1971: Petrochemical Works near Pleven (North Central Bulgaria) inaugurated (privatized as Plama in 1996, bankrupt since 1998, removed from Commercial Register on April 16, 2014).
1977: Diplomatic relations established with Guyana.
2008: Bulgaria prepays six World Bank loans of EUR 266.9 million plus USD 12.8 million, including interest.
2009: Bulgarian Public Relations Confederation is set up.
