site.btaBulgaria Grants Nearly BGN 71,000 for Training Equipment of Moldovan State Protection and Guard Service
The State Protection and Guard Service of the Republic of Moldova (SPPS) and the Embassy of Bulgaria in Moldova signed a Grant Agreement in relation to the foreign aid project, providing for the modernisation of a multifunctional training hall within the Mihai Eminescu Multidisciplinary Centre of SPPS in Chisinau. The cost of the project amounts to BGN 96, 135, of which BGN 70, 801 will be provided under the Bulgarian Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Programme of the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bulgarian Embassy in Chisinau said on Friday.
The capacity of the hall will be about 120 people per day. The modernisation of the training hall will include purchasing the latest sports and technical equipment. Cooperation agreements concluded with other institutions contribute to the national security protection in Moldova. In addition, the hall will provide suitable conditions for training seminars, discussions and round tables, the Embassy said.
According to the SPPS press service, the project represents an important initiative to strengthen institutional capacity and is the result of close cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Bulgarian Government consolidated over the years.
Ambassador of Bulgaria, Maya Dobreva, who was present at the event, stressed the importance of supporting and promoting mutually beneficial interests for the citizens of both countries. Such partnerships contribute to the strategic development of the institution, given that investment in human resources is a vital priority, Vasile Popa, SPPS Director, said.
