Sofia Airport will offer flights to new destinations such as Riga, Helsinki, Skiathos and Bristol in its 2024 summer schedule, SOF Connect, the operator of Sofia Airport, reported. The summer schedule will come into effect March 31.
For the first time passengers at Sofia Airport will be able to fly directly to Riga. Air Baltic will fly to the Latvian capital three times a week starting May 2.
Starting June 3, Norwegian Air International will cover the Sofia - Helsinki route twice a week.
Between June 1 and September 28, Ryanair will operate regular flights to the Greek island of Skiathos every Sunday. The carrier will also operate scheduled flights to Bristol every Wednesday and Sunday.
This summer Sofia Airport will operate a large number of charter flights to popular destinations such as Antalya, Bodrum, Nevsehir, Gazipasa, Cairo, Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, Catania, Olbia, Djerba, Santorini and Enfida.
During the summer, Sofia Airport will offer flights to 78 scheduled and 28 charter destinations, operated by more than 30 airlines. SOF Connect continues its policy of bringing in new airlines, increasing the number of flights to existing destinations and negotiating new routes.
In January 2024, Sofia Airport operated 4,852 flights to and from 84 destinations across 34 countries. The most popular destinations were London, Vienna, Milan, Istanbul and Frankfurt.
