site.btaGreen Movement Not Supportive of GERB Cabinet Proposal

The Green Movement which is part of the Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) coalition put out a statement Wednesday to announce that they are not going to back a government formed on GERB's mandate. They explain  there that their proposals for commitments in the legislative programme were not supported in the course of the talks between CC-DB and GERB-UDF.

"We are much concerned by the total rejection of Todor Tagarev as Defence Minister-designate during the negotiations, by the refusal of GERB to set deadlines for reforms in the security services and the judiciary, and the crawling Punization of Bulgarian politics," the statement goes.

The Green Movement vows to help a cabinet "with clear guarantees for anti-corruption and environmental protection policies".
