Citizens of the Ovcha Kupel borough in Sofia staged a protest on Tuesday, demanding permanent police presence near the local refugee centre. The protesters also demand that the curfew imposed on the refugee centre by Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev and the State Agency for Refugees be respected.
The protest was organized under the slogan "Ovcha Kupel - Without Fear or Violence".
The displeased citizens called for a comprehensive CCTV system to be built in the area and for the refugee centre to be moved somewhere else.
The protesters say they do not want to live in fear after the increased incidents over the past week.
