Owners of neglected private properties in the Northern Industrial Zone in Burgas will be served warning notices and orders to secure their properties, said Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov at a work meeting held on Tuesday with the Director of the Burgas Police Department, Senior Commissioner Emil Pavlov. 

At the meeting it was also decided that field inspections by joint teams of police and municipal officials will be conducted daily in the area. New initiatives are planned to clean up the buildings around which unregulated dumps were formed, with private owners, who own a large percentage of the properties in the Northern Industrial Zone, also to be included in these initiatives.

Frequent reports of squatters from Sliven (Southeast Bulgaria), who are once again building homes in the industrial zone despite repeated actions to demolish them, are among the reasons for the planned measures.
