site.btaBulgarian Defence Ministry Advisory on Movement of Troops over National Road Infrastructure

Convoys of troops and military vehicles of allied armies participating in joint exercises with the Bulgarian Army, will be transported along the national road infrastructure from the Bulgarian-Greek border to the Novo Selo training area near Sliven, the Bulgarian Defence Ministry said in a press release on Friday.

US troops will be transported from civilian airports in Sofia to different locations across Bulgaria between March 10 and 31.

At the end of next week, convoys of troops and military vehicles of the Italian contingent of NATO's Multinational Battlegroup in Bulgaria are expected to move along the national road infrastructure from the Bulgarian-Greek border to the Novo Selo training area.

Military Police Service teams will be escorting the convoys.
