Bulgarian athlete Alexander Asenov won the gold medal in the men’s 200m sprint at the World Indoor Athletics Championships for Persons with Intellectual Disability in Reims, France.

Asenov ran faster than his biggest rival Nicolas Virapin of France and claimed the title in the event.

At the age of only 16, Asenov is already among the world elite of track and field athletes with Down Syndrome.

On Friday, the Bulgarian won a silver medal in the triathlon.
