Students from Poland and Turkiye will study under the Erasmus+ programme during the summer semester of the 2023/2024 academic year at the Chernorizets Hrabar Varna Free University (VFU), the university said on Tuesday.

The students will include graduates of the War Studies University in Warsaw, which educates experts for the military, civilian and academic institutions related to national security and defence. Students from the Military Academy of Land Forces in Wroclaw will also study in Varna, as well as students from the universities in Lodiz and Izmir.

During the current 2023/2024 academic year, VFU sent to partner universities under the Erasmus+ programme students in the fields of law, graphic design and national security. For the past four years, students of the university have studied in Poland, Spain, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Cyprus, and Turkiye, and over 70 professors have given lectures in European educational institutions.

VFU has long-standing partnerships reflected in inter-institutional agreements with more than 50 European higher education institutions. In 2021, the European Commission again awarded VFU the Erasmus Higher Education Charter, the university told BTA.
