The National Assembly Wednesday adopted, unanimously with 166 votes in favour, a resolution on the necessary actions to build, equip, provide personnel and put into operation a National Children's Hospital. The resolution obliges the Health Minister to present within a week a report on the results achieved and the resources spent within the project to set up and build the hospital.

The Health Minister also has to present to the National Assembly within 30 days a plan for the speedy construction, equipment and opening of the National Children's Hospital by Health Investment Company for Children's Hospital AD. The hospital has to meet the EU's quality standards in the field of child healthcare, including a programme for the provision of personnel for the hospital's structures and units. Once he presents the plan in Parliament, the Health Minister has to present a monthly report to the Health Committee on the plan's implementation.

Under the newly adopted resolution, within one month the Health Minister will create a specialized website providing information related to the National Children's Hospital.
