Vladimir Iliev placed 24th in the men's 12.5km pursuit at the European Biathlon Championships in Brezno-Osrblie, Slovakia.

The Bulgarian made one mistake in all four shoots and covered the course in 35:03.1 minutes. Iliev was 2:21.0 minutes behind winner Isak Frey of Norway.

Frey made a total of three mistakes at the line, but was fastest with a time of 32:42.1 minutes and took his second medal of the championships after the bronze in the sprint on Friday.

The women's 10km pursuit featuring Bulgaria's Lora Hristova and Valentina Dimitrova is scheduled later on Saturday.
