Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih discussed how Bulgaria can become a regional innovation hub and an attractive investment destination in the fields of energy, transport, digital infrastructure, and green technologies, Gabriel said on Facebook on Tuesday. She is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on January 23 and 24.

Among the topics discussed were investment, innovation, connectivity, culture, trade, and tourism. "I congratulated Riyadh on winning the bid to host the World Expo 2030 and shared a key initiative in my work, Brand Bulgaria. These are initiatives that enable our countries to share a vision for the future," Gabriel wrote.

The Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister extended an official invitation to Al-Falih and his team to visit Bulgaria.
