Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Russian President Vladimir Putin are expected to visit Ankara. Raisi is expected this week and Putin’s visit in February, Hurriyet writes.
After the visit of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Ankara is expected to host two more important guests, the publication writes.
The newspaper recalls that Raisi’s visit was postponed twice, According to Hurriyet sources, Raisi may arrive in Turkiye on January 24 but the information has not been confirmed for now.
The Iranian President postponed his January 4 visit to Turkiye following attacks in the southeastern city of Kerman, which claimed over 100 victims. Previously, he had been expected on November 28.
Raisi is expected to meet with Turkish President Recep Erdogan in Ankara. The Iranian President will attend the eighth session of the high-level cooperation council between Turkiye and Iran. Around ten agreements will be signed in various fields such as economy, commerce, transport, culture, science and media.
After Raisi Russian state leader Vladimir Putin is expected to visit Turkiye. According to unconfirmed reports in Russian and Turkish media outlets Putin will meet with Erdogan on February 12. On the agenda will be bilateral, regional and global developments, including the Russian-Ukrainian war, the conflict between Israel and Hamas and developments in the Red Sea, writes Hurriyet.
