site.btaBTA, National Military University Agree to Cooperate

The Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the Vasil Levski National Military University concluded a cooperation agreement here on Friday. The document was signed by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and the Commandant of the University, Brigadier General Ivan Malamov.

"This agreement is very important to us because we target having such agreements signed with all Bulgarian universities," Valchev said at the beginning of the meeting. He noted that it is essential that this University is regularly covered in BTA's news services.  

Valchev hopes that the news items about the University that BTA will run weekly will help the educational institution attract more students from abroad as well.

He stressed that the University's activities can be presented at the BTA national press clubs in areas with Bulgarian communities abroad, where young people can learn more about the opportunities for study at the educational establishment. The BTA Director General was confident that the Vasil Levski National Military University would gain greater popularity through BTA. The agreement also provides for opportunities for internships at BTA.

Brigadier General Malamov said that the establishment of the military school predated Bulgaria's first Parliament and government, which comes to show its great value for statehood. He stressed that the entire Bulgarian community should be well aware of the University because it trains officers for the Armed Forces, as well as many civilian students who, when they graduate, build good careers in society.

The Commandant hopes that through BTA the information about life at the University would reach more people.
