All of Turkiye is looking forward to the ceremony of sending the first Turkish astronaut, Alper Gezeravci, to the International Space Station. The private spaceflight Axion Mission 3 is scheduled to launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Thursday just after midnight Bulgarian time or at 1.11 a.m. Turkish time.

First Turkish Astronaut Launched to International Space Station

Turkiye's first astronaut, Alper Gezeravci, took off on Thursday night with the AX-3 (Axion Mission 3) crew to the International Space Station from Kennedy Air Force Base in Florida, USA.  The rocket carrying Gezeravci was launched at 12:49 a.m.
