Paolo Andreoli will be conducting the opera Aida at the Sofia Opera and Ballet on January 25, 26, 27 and 28, the opera said.

The cast includes Bulgarian opera singer Raina Kabaivanska‘s students. Vittoria Yeo and Sofia Soloviy star as Aida, Veronica Simeoni and Ana Victória Pitts as Amneris, Davide Ryu and Andrea Carè as Radames, Bozhidar Bozhkilov as Ramfis, and Hae Kang as Amonasro.

Hugo de Ana is the director, set designer, and costume designer, Leda Lojodice is the choreographer, Vinicio Cheli is the light designer, and Violeta Dimitrova is the chorus master.

Paolo Andreoli has given over 800 concert performances as a pianist, performing operatic, lyric and chamber recitals, and as a conductor of choirs, instrumental ensembles and orchestra. In 2004, he began collaborating with Luciano Pavarotti. Andreoli accompanied the lessons Pavarotti would give to his students until the days before his death. He has since served as a musical consultant at the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, has been involved in finding, training and promoting young opera singers, and has participated in various events around the world, including in New York, Lucerne, Zurich, Istanbul, Monaco, Bucharest, Jeddah, Muscat, Beijing, Jakarta, Busan and Tokyo.

Since 2015, he has been the artistic director of the Gold Pavarotti award.

Since 2006, he has been Raina Kabaivanska‘s permanent collaborator in her two-year master classes held in Modena.
