site.btaInterior Minister: New-model Identity Cards to Be Issued at Temporary Centre

New-model identity cards will start to be issued at a temporary centre, Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov said during Question Time on Friday.

"There will be two machines at this temporary centre, which will be located at the Interior Ministry building," he noted, adding that only identity cards and residence permits will be issued there.

Meanwhile, work is ongoing on a project for a new building that is to become a centre for issuance of such documents, Stoyanov said. "It will be built, but adjustments had to be made," he added.

"There has been no delay on the part of the Interior Ministry. The documentation is currently being reviewed. Adjustments have been made to the plan," he added.
