site.btaCC-DB Parliamentary Group Elects Borislav Belazelkov to Be Coalition's Nominee for Constitutional Court Judge

The Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria parliamentary group voted on Wednesday to elect Borislav Belazelkov to be the coalition's nominee for a Constitutional Court judge, Continue the Change said.

"Judge Belazelkov’s nomination is an example of the change. The change we all strive for. In order to achieve it, it is important that candidates for key posts break away from political control," said Kiril Petkov, co-leader of Continue the Change.

"What is important are the positions the candidate for this post has expressed on matters of public importance and the beliefs he has defended throughout his career. Talk is cheap," Belazelkov said.

Borislav Belazelkov is an expert in commercial law and a lecturer with extensive experience in civil procedure law. He is a former member of the Supreme Court of Cassation, from where he retired in May 2021.
