Oil paintings by Stanislav Kunchev will be on display at Sofia's Contrast Gallery from January 15 to 21, the organizers said. Titled "High", the exhibition is filled with the symbolism of the truth and challenges people face in their daily lives and in the world they live in. "In the paintings you can find messages for our dreams and our freedom as a choice," Kunchev says.

He was born in 1984 and currently lives and works in Sofia. His interest in the fine arts grew over the years, and nowadays he mostly paints contemporary landscapes and paintings filled with symbolism. Kunchev draws inspiration from styles such as impressionism and expressionism. "For me, painting is a message I can send to people through my works. In them, you can see and feel energy and many positive emotions," he says.
