The Bulgarian and Greek Bars took part in a training in Athens on Wednesday, the Bulgarian Supreme Bar Council reported.
A joint opening seminar of the Bulgarian and Greek Bars took place at the Athens Bar Association's headquarters as part of the Council of Europe HELP course themed "Violence against Women and Domestic Violence".
The event is born out of the cooperation between the two Bars and is held under the auspices and with the financial support of the Council of Europe. The Bars' first joint seminar was on "Procedural Safeguards in Criminal Proceedings and Victims' Rights" and took place in Sofia in June 2023.
Wednesday's seminar was attended by more than 60 Bulgarian and Greek lawyers. It was opened by the President of the Athens Bar Association and the Greek Bar Associations Plenary, Dimitrios Vervesos, the President of the Supreme Bar Council of Bulgaria, Ivaylo Dermendzhiev, and the President of the Krastyu Tsonchev Lawyers Training Centre’s governing body, Boryana Musseva.
