The government on Wednesday set up a consultative council for Bulgaria's protection in international arbitration cases in which the country is represented by the minister of finance. The council will be chaired by the minister of finance and will also comprise the minister of justice as deputy chair and deputy ministers of finance, justice, foreign affairs, the economy and industry, energy, environment and water, and regional development and public works as members. The members will be named by the prime minister.
The minister of finance will represent the consultative council, set its agenda, schedule and chair its meetings, and organize and control the implementation of its decisions. In the chair's absence, her/his functions will be performed by the deputy chair.
