The Council of Ministers on Wednesday approved a BGN 3.45 million allocation (inclusive of VAT) to increase the state-owned stake in the capital of Sofia's Alexandrovska Hospital. The money will be used to buy a new SPECT/CT device to replace the one currently in use. The new device will be employed mainly in pediatrics and oncology.

Under another government decree, the Health Ministry budget for 2023 will be revised in connection with an increase of the capital of Sofia's Pirogov Emergency Hospital with a maximum of 2,187,490 new registered shares with a nominal value of one lev each. The capital increase will be used to adjust for inflation the prices of contracts for renovation, repairs and replacement of lifts at Pirogov's Urology Clinic.

A third government decree envisages that the Health Ministry budget for 2023 will be altered to increase the state-owned stake in the capital of the St Pantaleon Hospital in Yambol, Southeastern Bulgaria with an additional contribution of BGN 5,842,400 (inclusive of VAT). The money will be used to adjust for inflation the price of a contract to build a new section of the hospital.
