Parliament adopted here Monday on first reading the State Budget’s framework for 2024. The set revenues, aid and donations in the State Budget for next year add up to BGN 43,406,519,700. Of these, tax revenue is set at BGN 38,116,002,000, close to BGN 6 billion of which are corporate tax. The planned VAT revenue is set at BGN 18,626,102,000.

Expenditures are set at BGN 23,659,736,900, with current expenditures at BGN 20,092,397,200, including BGN 9,773,008,900 for staff.

The planned capital transfers amount to BGN 15,880,000. Budget

The inter-budget transfers (net) add up to BGN 25,508,142,500, including budget transfers to municipalities of close to BGN 8 billion.

Bulgaria’s contribution to the EU budget is BGN 2,271,071,700. 

The budget balance is negative at BGN 8,032,431,400.

The MPs also voted on the budgets of the Foreign Ministry, the judiciary, the Council of Ministers, the National Assembly and the Finance Ministry.

The Foreign Ministry budget has revenues of BGN 53,122,300 and total expenditure of BGN 179,087,800.

The Finance Ministry of Finance gets BGN 515,053,700 in revenues and BGN 734,112,400 in expenditures.

The Constitutional Court budget has expenditure of BGN 8,858,000.

The Council of Ministers budget gets BGN 13,117,800 in revenue, grants and donations and expenditure of BGN 160,445,300. The budget transfers amount to BGN 147,327,500.

The budget of the National Assembly has revenue, aid and donations of BGN 1,740,000 and expenditure of BGN 120,172,900, of which current expenditure is BGN 106,651,900 and capital expenditure BGN 13,021,000.

The revenue, aid and donations in the budget of the judiciary amount to BGN 100 million. The expenditure of the Supreme Judicial Council totals BGN 56,584,000, of the Supreme Court of Cassation BGN 30,103,400, of the Supreme Administrative Court BGN 38,562,900. BGN 445,807,800 has been allocated for the prosecution service and BGN 5,885,500 have been earmarked for the Inspectorate of the Supreme Judicial Council.
