Bulgaria's acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov is paying an official visit to Madrid on Tuesday, the prosecuting magistracy reported. Sarafov is scheduled to meet with his Spanish counterpart Alvaro Garcia Ortiz to discuss the fight against transnational organized crime, terrorism and illegal migration.

Criminal law matters of shared interest will also be discussed with a view to exchanging experience and best practices in criminal investigations.

On the Bulgarian delegation led by Sarafov are Elena Karakasheva, Deputy Prosecutor General at the Supreme Administrative Prosecutor's Office, and Svetoslav Vasilev, head of the Cybercrime Department at the National Investigation Service. They will meet with leaders of the Special Prosecutor’s Office against Illegal Drug Trafficking.
