Spanish Ambassador Alejandro Polanco Mata will award world-famous pianist Ludmil Angelov with the Order of Isabella the Catholic after the concert that maestro Angelov will perform on December 7 at the National Opera and Ballet in Sofia, the Spanish Embassy said on Tuesday.
Ludmil Angelov is an academician of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Historical Sciences of Toledo, founder and artistic director of the International Music Festival - Toledo, founder of the Piano Extravaganza Foundation and of the International Chamber Music Festival "Cameralia". He is the most famous concert pianist in Bulgaria and one of the best performers of Chopin. Fluent in Spanish, he is a great friend of Spain and has contributed greatly to the popularity of Spanish artists and composers around the world, as well as to the overall image of Spain in Bulgaria, the Spanish Embassy noted.
