Ivan Tanev was awarded Engineer of the Year 2023. He is the Chief Engineer at G.P. Group.

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Regional Policy, Public Works and Local Self-Government, Nikolay Nankov, presented the award within the framework of the competition to the Bulgarian Branch Chamber Roads at a ceremony on Thursday evening, the Chamber said.

From this year, the competition has two more categories with distinctions in the field of design and construction supervision.

The award for best Designer of Road Construction and Facilities was presented to engineer Martin Petkov.

The Construction Supervision - Road Construction and Facilities award went to engineer Nikolay Kosturkov.

The winners received a statuette, a metal Don Quixote sculpture, made by sculptor Iliyan Sharkov, as well as a diploma.

The three award recipients were nominated for the same project, the successful implementation of the Struma Motorway Lot 3.1 Tunnel Zheleznitsa, Subsection No. 2.
