site.btaHeavy Snow with Stormy Wind Expected in Three Northeast Bulgarian Regions on Sunday

The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology announced Saturday a red code alert for heavy snowfall and strong wind in the Northeast Bulgarian regions of Dobrich, Razgrad and Silistra on Sunday.

The snow cover in the three regions will be between 10 and 30 centimetres. The wind will be strong and stormy with gusts up to 100 kilometres per hour.

An orange code for adverse weather is valid for eight other regions - Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse, Sliven, Targovishte, Shumen and Yambol.
