site.btaCouncil of Ministers Expected to Discuss 2024 State Budget on Friday

The Council of Ministers is expected to hold an extraordinary meeting on Friday to discuss the State Budget Bill, the National Health Insurance Budget Bill, and the State Social Insurance Budget for 2024, Finance Minister Assen Vassilev said after the meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation on Tuesday. The 2024 State Budget Bill was not backed by all social partners at the Tuesday meeting.

Once approved by the Council of Ministers, the bills will be submitted for approval at first and second reading at the National Assembly.

Vassilev expressed an expectation that the whole procedure of adopting the budget will be completed by December 22.
