site.btaCabinet Grants BGN 1,512 to Each of 450 Households Affected by November 4 Storms

The government will grant financial aid of BGN 1,512 to 450 households in the regions of Smolyan, Silistra, Razgrad, Targovishte, Shumen and Varna, which suffered from the hurricane wind and heavy rain on November 4, Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov said before the start of a cabinet meeting on Thursday.

The decision was taken just 12 days after this disaster happened so that people can benefit from this support as quickly as possible, Denkov noted.

"The government is working systematically and intensely to improve the lives of people and the business environment in Bulgaria. The Affordable for You Programme is a fact from yesterday and it is arousing deserved interest from both people and retail chains in the country," the Prime Minister added.

Denkov stressed that through another Thursday decision the government will determine the location of the national STEM center in Sofia Tech Park, near the supercomputer located there, so that teachers and students can make the most of the innovation environment. 

"This is how we respond to the unstable political environment in Bulgaria," Denkov stated.
