Israeli Ambassador: We Want to Keep Our Democratic Values

We are democratic countries and we have democratic values that we want to keep and observe human rights, said Israeli Ambassador here Yosef Levi Sfari, at a Sofia-hosted international conference, “The Modernization of Defence”.

We are facing enemies who don’t respect international law and disregard these values. How to defence our moral values and fight against non-state actors, who are backed by states, said Levi. The Western world has begun to realize that the threat on October 7 is not only against Israel but against the West, he added.

The Israeli Ambassador said that for year the world has been driven by the idea that everything is money. October 7 became a turning point in many aspects of this way of thinking. In the end it is not a question of money. It is not a question of economy, but of ideology. Faced with this radical ideology of hatred we add capabilities. This is the big threat that we are facing, he said.
