A total of 248 appeals have been filed until November 8 in administrative courts across the country against results from the first round of local elections on October 29, the Supreme Administrative Court said. There are applications for annulling the elections in large and small settlements.
A total of 149 of the appeals contest the election of mayors and 67 the election of municipal councilors. Administrative cases have already been initiated in the courts of first instance, and some of them will be joined for general consideration.
The seven-day deadline for appealing the results of the second round of local elections on November 5 is nearing.
