site.btaHealth Centre in Serbian Town Receives Spirometer Funded by Bulgarian Government

The health centre in the municipality of Mali Zvornik, western Serbia, acquired a cutting-edge clinical spirometer funded under the Development Aid Programme of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry. The acquisition was arranged with the assistance of the Together for a Smile Foundation.

A spirometer is an apparatus for measuring the volume of air inspired and expired by the lungs.

Bulgarian Ambassador to Serbia Petko Doikov and other Embassy officials visited Mali Zvornik in connection with the successful completion of the project. Doikov said he hopes that the project helps improve public access to healthcare in the municipality. He added that Bulgaria provides development aid to Serbia in a number of fields.

Mali Zvornik Mayor Zoran Jevtic thanked Bulgaria for the donation and noted that the new equipment will be very useful for the local health centre and the town residents. He said the Bulgarian Embassy is the third foreign embassy in Serbia after the missions of Switzerland and Japan to fund a project in Mali Zvornik.

In addition to visiting the health centre, where the spirometer was demonstrated, Ambassador Doikov also had a meeting at the Mayor's Office.
