site.btaHospital in Taraclia Gets 20 New Beds
The hospital in Taraclia will get 20 new beds, its director, Artur Kovacs, told the local website tuk.md. Thirty-three more hospitals in Moldova will receive beds purchased with funds provided by the US and the EU.
The Health Ministry said 1,200 hospital beds for children and adults were to be distributed across the country. Of them, 200 are for children aged up to 3 years, 300 for children aged 3 to 10 years, and 700 beds will be used by patients aged over 10, the Moldpres news agency said.
The beds, worth USD 291,000, were procured by the World Health Organization with the support of the EU and the US Government.
