Children from the Roden Krai Bulgarian School in Cranford, New Jersey have released a new song written especially for National Awakeners Day, a major cultural holiday in Bulgaria celebrated each year on November 1, the school says in a Facebook post.

The Bulgarian-language post says: "November 1, National Awakeners' Day! Let us awaken our minds with new knowledge and let us honor all awakeners and enlighteners. We want to greet you with a brand-new song written for this holiday."

The school extends thanks to Anita Ilieva of the KarloVoice Music School in Karlovo, central Bulgaria, for giving them the song, which they recorded "with great enthusiasm". "We hope it is sung by Bulgarian children all over the world," the message says.

The work is titled "Awakeners Song". The lyrics were written by Marina Karamanska and the music by Anita Ilieva, with arrangement by Yordan Iliev.

The Roden Krai Bulgarian School in Cranford, which is for kids from central and northern New Jersey (United States), was established in 2017. It has received formal recognition from the Bulgarian Ministry of Education and Science and has been entered in the register of Bulgarian Sunday schools abroad.
