The Vasil Levski Youth Multicultural Centre in Taraclia was officially opened here on Wednesday. The building’s ribbon was cut by Bulgarian Vice President Iliana Iotova and Moldova's President Maia Sandu. The official guests were welcomed by the Head of the Education Department of Taraclia Region, Lilia Sarsaman.
The building was renovated with funds from the Bulgarian Development Aid Programme.
After touring the premises of the Centre, Iotova and Sandu met with students from ninth to twelfth grade, who asked them questions in Romanian and Bulgarian related to education and youth development, European integration and its benefits for Moldova and Bulgaria.
The opening of the Youth Centre was also attended by Moldovan Culture Minister Sergiu Prodan, Taraclia Taraclia Region Chairperson Ivan Paslar and others.
