I voted today [Sunday] for a safer, cleaner and tidier Sofia, for the people who know how to do it, for the people who have proven that they can be responsible, GERB-UDF's candidate for Sofia mayor, Anton Hekimyan, told journalists after voting in the October 29 local elections. 

"I voted for the chaos in the country, which we have seen in the last two and a half years, not to be repeated in Sofia," he said.

Asked if voters' attitudes are changing because of the decision to vote only on paper ballots today, he said the queues outside polling stations show that people want to cast their vote and believe in this election process. 

Hekimyan commented that since there have been machines, he has voted through them every time."I would do it now if we had not lost confidence in this process. I want to get answers from the people, from the political figures who owe such answers," he added.
