site.btaBulgaria Sees Second Largest Growth in EU New Car Registrations in September
In September 2023, new car registrations increased by 9.2%, reaching 861,062 units, marking the EU car market’s fourteenth consecutive month of growth. Two of the EU’s largest markets saw substantial gains; Italy (+22.7%) and France (+10.7%). Germany’s market was relatively steady, with a tiny 0.1% drop compared to September 2022, according to the latest data by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA).
In September, new car registrations in Bulgaria grew by 40.2% year-on-year, with 2,976 units, up from 2,122 units in September 2022.
Bulgaria places second among EU countries in terms of the largest increase of new car registrations, right after Malta (+53.2%), after seeing the largest annual increase in new car registrations in the EU in August.
