Speaking at the Winning the Peace in Ukraine international conference here on Friday, Sofia Security Forum President Yordan Bozhilov said: "We all are interested in achieving a lasting peace that is based on clear principles, because that will determine the future security architecture in Europe for decades to come." That is why it is important to declare and uphold the principles on which the future relations will be built, he added.
"We should discredit aggression in all its form, we should uphold the right of every country to choose its future and we should insist on the construction of an international order based on the rules," Bozhilov went on to say.
"In this complex security environment, our national security systems cracks, torn by political heroes," he noted. Even the best solutions cannot be effective unless communicated to society, he argued.
The Winning the Peace in Ukraine conference is organized by Sofia Security Forum with the assistance of the US Embassy in Bulgaria.
