Regional Development Minister Andrey Tsekov has alerted Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov of a suspiciously large number of address registrations and voting applications in small settlements ahead of the local elections on October 29, the Regional Development Ministry said.

The Civil Registration and Administrative Services General Directorate has established an unusual rise in address registrations and voting applications in a total of 343 settlements.

Checks into the circumstances can be initiated by regional governors.
