The development of the Moldovan-Bulgarian relations and the close cooperation between Chisinau and Sofia in the implementation of Moldova's European agenda were discussed during the meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Bulgaria's newly appointed Ambassador to Moldova, Maya Dobreva, the official website of the Moldovan government reported.

Dorin Recean spoke about the measures taken by the authorities to support and promote cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue. The Moldovan Prime Minister highlighted the contribution of the Bulgarian community in Taraclia region to strengthening the partnership with Bulgaria.

"Joining the European Union is a strategic goal of our country and a national priority. We strive to build a modern state that can ensure the well-being of every citizen and representative of every nationality," said Dorin Recean.

The two also discussed the opportunities for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
