Bulgaria has invested some EUR 9.6 billion in motorways and only EUR 2.4 billion in railways from 1995 to 2021, shows a Greenpeace study sent to the media by the Bulgarian branch of the NGO on Tuesday. Bulgaria's highways have increased by a significant 157% (from 314 to 806 km) since 1995. At the same time, the length of the railway network has decreased by 6% (263 km).
