On Tuesday, a Romanian Air Force IAR 330 Puma helicopter crew identified possible Russian drone debris near the towns of Nufarul and Victoria, in Tulcea County. The wreckage is scattered over an area of tens of metres, the Romanian Defence Ministry said in an official statement.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Romanian army started searching for the remains of a drone after receiving calls on the 112 emergency phone following the latest Russian attacks the previous evening on Ukrainian ports on the Danube located near the Romanian border.

Romanian Defence Ministry teams, along with forces of other national defence, public order and national security agencies have launched an investigation into the case.

The Romanian Defence Ministry strongly condemns the attacks carried out by the Russian Federation against certain sites and civilian infrastructure at Ukrainian ports on the Danube. "These attacks are unjustified and in serious contradiction with the norms of international humanitarian law," the ministry said in a press release.
