Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Chair Sahiba Gafarova will pay an official visit to Bulgaria on September 12, 2023 at the invitation of National Assembly Chair Rossen Zhelyzkov, the parliamentary press office said Friday.

The official visit will start at 10.00 a.m. in front of the Monument to the Unknown Warrior, where the Milli Majlis President will lay a wreath.

The meeting of the Chairpersons of the Parliaments of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan will take place at 10.40 a.m. in the National Assembly building at 2 Narodno Sabranie Square.

The plenary talks between the parliament chairs of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan and MPs from the two institutions will begin at 11.00 am in East Hall.

The programme of the Milli Majlis Chair's official visit to Bulgaria includes meetings with President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov.

Gafarova and the delegation she leads will visit the Center for Azerbaijani Language and Culture at the Center for Eastern Languages and Culture of the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia.
