In a video address on Thursday, North Macedonia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani said that twenty days after he presented his clarifications on the negotiating framework with the EU in the part of the treaties with Greece and Bulgaria, there still are no arguments against. In his words, that is yet another confirmation that these segments are not part of the negotiating framework and there will be no vote on them by the EU Member States. The treaties with the neighbouring countries, particularly that with Bulgaria and the review of its Article 12, are not part of the negotiating framework, Osmani said.

"It should be noted that despite the many comments that have been received, not a single one provided a notable argument to disprove the facts I had presented. The main message remains unchanged: the treaties with the neighbours [...] are not part of the special segments of the negotiating framework for which a written notification and a vote by the EU Member States are required," Osmani also said.

He once again called for arguments and an honest approach when presenting opposing opinions, if there are any. In his words, the honest discourse strengthens North Macedonia's democracy. "Our final goal is a brighter European future for North Macedonia, and I believe that together, in an open dialogue and with facts, we can achieve that," Osmani said.
