site.btaCabinet Approves 2023 Annual Estimates for State Fund Agriculture

The Council of Ministers approved the annual estimates of the European Union funds account of the State Fund Agriculture for 2023.

A total of BGN 2,934.73 million is planned to finance direct area payments, market measures, the Rural Development Programme, the Maritime and Fisheries Programme and the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas of the Republic of Bulgaria for the 2023-2027 period.

A total of BGN 589.95 million is allocated for rural development. 

Under direct payments, co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, BGN 432.28 million are allocated under the Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 and the new Strategic Plan 2023-2027.

A total of BGN 1,694.43 million have been allocated for direct payments from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, including under the single area payment scheme, as well as for coupled payments for animals, fruit, vegetables, etc.

Under the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Programme 2014-2020, BGN 51.25 million are allocated for the 2014-2020 period.

A total of BGN 166.82 million are allocated for market measures in the beekeeping and wine sectors, as well as for School Fruit, School Milk and emergency financial support for farmers growing sunflower.
